Quite simply the best band in town.
The Stour Valley Pipe Band (formerly Harwich and District Pipes and Drums) was reformed by Pipe Major Andrew Green in early 2003. Since then, we have performed at numerous prestsigious venues throughout North Essex. Last year saw the band playing again at the Suffolk Show, the Tendring Show, the National Malaya & Borneo Veteran's Association and the Little Clacton Carnival, to name but a few.
We also play at the Cruise Terminal at Harwich International Port Weekly to passengers returning from a day trip out or leaving for other shores. The Band already have a significant number of dates booked for the remainder of 2009, including the Kirlby fete and the Minden Reunion Day in August; Walton Remembrance in November and the Frinton Lights in December.

We are recruiting!
Even though our band grows month on month, we are always on the lookout for experienced musicians or enthusiastic beginners.
